SurCom offers a range of acoustic devices for ranges of up to 2000 meters. These devices are known under the name Long Range Acoustic Device and transmit very focused audio sound to a location or intruder. They can be controlled remotely, equipped with an HR CCD camera, a laser and a powerful narrow beam light source. LRAD systems are, for example, in use in ports, site security, anti-piracy and crowd control. SurCom has extensive experience with the installation, commissioning and maintenance of LRAD systems around the world.
There are some special versions of some of the LRADs, such as, for example, the 450XL for the Army, or for use from helicopters.
