The unobserved approach of ships in ports is a major threat to naval ships. To prevent this, divers must be detected and classified at different depths. This is followed up with an action to intercept those divers or to disrupt their action. Sonar equipment is capable of signaling divers, diving with compressed air or with a closed system (i.e. at different depths). By linking such a system to, for example, an underwater speaker, the behavior of the divers can be influenced. SurCom works together with the Israeli DSIT for this.
